Battery Draining In Alcatel Idol 4S

I just did a Factory Reset on my Idol 4s , and that has not helped the battery-drain issue at all. ¯(°_o)/¯

It's still draining at about 1% a minute, 'til it gets to 70% or so... and jumps right down to 6% . If I use the Web Browser or News App, it accelerates the drain to a 10 mins max charge time before dying completely.  

I'll buy a replacement battery on Ebay this week (there's a few how-to vids on YouTube), and update with that solution later. 

Thanks for the info, good to know.  I'm interested in hearing how the replacement goes and whether or not it fixes the issue.

I bought a power bank for mine to use when on the go.  When at the desk, I just keep it plugged to the charger.  If a new battery does the trick, that would be much better.

If this is your  4th phone. Was it fixed what did they do to fix it?Are you using the 4s?

I'm now on my fourth phone courtesy of insurance.  The battery was just the first issue.  The battery definitely was draining, even with any peripheral turned off.  I've had a display issue in which there were dead spots to the touch, etc.

...forgot to mention, sometimes I get the low battery alert (always shows 6%) when the battery is fully charged and just been using a few minutes.  Sometimes restarting works and sometimes it doesn't. It seems random to me.  Just another reason to think it's a sowtware glitch.
