The websites appuals.com and thewindowsclub.com may be recommending programs you shouldn't download or install. The information on the pages is safe, but the programs are often classified as PUPs (Potentiall Unwanted Programs.)

Original question:
I've got a random Amazon KFAUWI device showing up on my network as a device beside my driver for my router. Can anyone help? I am sure it is not a device in my house, as everything is set to something we've done or one of our names. Can anyone tell me if i'm stupid or if this is a general happening?

Don't worry about not seeing it in router it only briefly contacts router just trying to locate a WiFi network with WPS. It's windows that is keeping showing it.

2018-04-22T15:09:40+00:00 The answer has been posted here several times, thanks guys. Turn off WPS in your router settings and you won't see any of these devices ever again, I can assure you.
You'll continue to see them if you don't turn off WPS but they won't do you, or your system, any harm.

Just found a site which identifies this device as an Amazon Fire 7 2017 Tablet.

Still don't know how they are on my network unless it's part of Comcast Xfinitys "Free" WiFi created by Comcast to allow others to use all paid subscribers networks when they are supposedly away from home. I have also seen an Amazon Echo on my network as well. And Comcast wants to Kill Net Neutrality! Neighbors I suspect!
Why did you obscure the device's MAC address? I would like to block it on my router too!!

2018-02-20T10:31:32+00:00 I know this is going to sound a bit crazy. However I have spent 3 full days testing this theory and I am afraid I may have some very bad news. After running a protocol analyzer I was able to trace the MAC address to a device that was not on my network, not an Amazon device at all.
