I have track numbers in front of some of my song names (not title) in my music libarary.  How do I get rid of them.  They are not in the "name" in WMP.  I try to right click and rename and that doesn't work.  I try going through properties into details and delete numbers in front of name, but it doesn't stay changed.  Tried to edit in WMP and that doesn't work.  Nothing I do permenantly changes the name (not title).

Help!!!!!!

Yes, MS blew hot and cold over libraries - they thought it was a great idea at first but then realized they had confused a lot of users, hence the simplified structure in W10. The Music (library) folder and the file location are now one and the same where as in W7 you have Library (explorer) + file location (My Music) and the WMP library - delete from or alter in WMP and all is good - delete from; move or alter in the Explorer library = orphaned files in WMP that can't be played or deleted. Not user friendly!

    Cheers, R.

Hi - use the little mountain icon second from right - that takes you to a search option to upload the image from your PC- literally in the highlighted order. - Thanks R....

Hi Janet - just so we don't get confused here - can you put up a screenshot of what you want to remove? It should be fairly straightforward - Thanks - R.
