track numbers in front of song names in windows music library, windows 7
I have track numbers in front of some of my song names (not title) in my music libarary. How do I get rid of them. They are not in the "name" in WMP. I try to right click and rename and that doesn't work. I try going through properties into details and delete numbers in front of name, but it doesn't stay changed. Tried to edit in WMP and that doesn't work. Nothing I do permenantly changes the name (not title).
Help!!!!!!

2018-02-18T23:12:21+00:00 OK - so it's just those first 20 or so tracks is it? Looks like the rest are OK.... were these downloads by any chance? I have found that from some sources track titling/numbering is a bit annoying. I usually download to my documents folder and sort them out there first.
Windows 7 libraries are easier to mess up (unfortunately) so a bit of care will be needed. Lets use 01 Proud Mary from the top of the list to work with....
Select and right click it and choose 'Open File Location' - from there click 'copy' and paste a copy to your documents folder where WMP won't add it to the library. Let me know if that bit goes OK and we'll take it from there.... R.
