Hello. I'm quite unhappy with my entire experience. I have had to contact support multiple times because my computer "wasn't on the list" of computers able to run the latest updates. I find this incredibly ironic, as it has 8gb of ram, lots of disk space, and a very nice processor (~2.6ghz). I have had my agents help me as much as they could, and that wasn't the bad part, they did great! For a day... Somehow, even after they went and did the whole thing about delaying updates for 8 months or so, The Windows 10 update installer app downloaded. It has hogged me for the past week, with me having to abort multiple updates, not wanting to lose my pc again. I am a student, and can not afford a new one, but just recently I gave up and let it update. It quit out halfway through, as usual, and went back to the same condition it was at. Nothing works.
This is not like last time, I had to get a Windows 10 system on a usb, and repair my boot loader last time. This time, Windows simply won't do anything. It's currently telling me the only option left is a hard reset.
I have physically tried everything besides a hard reset. I refuse. Why should I lose my personal belongings, when it's out of my control? This is not an issue with anything except Windows. What can be done about this? I am very disappointed in the fact this has ruined my computer, I really hope you can do something about this.

The latest windows update has slowed my laptop to a 15minute boot up.
It automatically deletes your old system files after 10 days so the time you have available to rollback to the last version and get rid of the latest RUBBISH is limited. This is probably limited to 10 days so that most people wont be able to revert by the time they decide they want to.
I am going over to Linux if there isnt an update to solve my issue within the next 14 days.
Same boat here. Every damn "update" breaks something. Now I have no sound, cortana search bar not working, and can't clear email notifications. I wish there was a way to permanently stop automatic updates. My computer was fine before M$ "updated" it. I HATE WINDOWS 10! The most annoying, intrusive operating system ever!
I had the same problem. MS updates really gave me headaches nowadays. After the updates the other week, my laptop cannot connect to the internet via Wifi or LAN. Then, after spending for the repair, it just shut down and the unit was broken. I'm terrified this happened. Please MS, stop this and create a better experience for customers.
Look on the bright side...MS are rolling out the latest 'update' in the next week or so, so we'll have even more reason to congratulate MS on how well they treat their CUSTOMERS (Remember those MS?) when their 'updates' mess up a perfectly functioning computer.
You're absolutely correct.
Just when I think my laptop has finally settled itself and I've done various virus scans to eliminate that path, it crashes, or doesn't start, or restarts at random, then won't restart, then crashes....And so the story goes on. And this was after a MS geek installed 1803 remotely. I really thought when I bought my laptop late last year with Win 10 (I had Vista, never had 8 or 8.1) it was a revelation. Quick start up, reasonably easy to navigate, easy to customise... Then the update and now I don't know from one minute to the next if it will crash. And MS say nothing officially. Zero... Although the manager I spoke to in India expressed his frustration at the developers leaving the agents to hold this particular lipsticked pig.
