Windows 10 rollback stuck

I have the same problem. Fact so many people are having it suggests another mistake by microsoft and again little regard for their customers. I have issues every time i update.

What instructions? Did you try a Repair/Upgrade-Install, as Juan Pablo G.C. said on pages 4-6? It's a little tougher to do in this state.

(1) In case it will not work for you & you never backed up your files.

Get to a Command Prompt & back them up now.

(a) Plug in the Win 10 Installation Media (see below). Also plug in a USB drive on which to copy files.

(b) Boot to the Installation Media through the BIOS Boot Menu. You press a key during boot at the manufacturer's logo screen. Find your key here...

Note: That's a 3rd-party site. The literature is good. I know nothing of any downloads or links at that site.

(c) When the Installation media boots, get to the 2nd screen, & click "Repair your computer". This will boot to the Recovery Environment at the "Choose an option" screen.

(d) Click "Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Command Prompt".

     A DOS box will open.

(e) Enter "Notepad" into the DOS box. It will open in full GUI mode.

(f) Select "Open" from Notepad's File menu.

(g) At the bottom right of the Open requestor, set it to read All Files...

(h) Now all files should show up. Don't try to open any of them except maybe text files. But browse to - especially - "C:\Users<Username>", right-click it in the left pane, & select "Copy". Then click the letter of the USB drive in the left pane (not the one that holds the Installation media). Right-click in the right pane, & select "Paste". Do the same for "C:\Windows.old\Users<Username>", if it exists. That would get all the stuff of the user. I guess you could be more selective, & just take the subfolders that hold your data.

(I) Close the "Open" requestor, Notepad, & the DOS box.

(2) Make Win 10 Installation Media & run a repair-install.

Make a Windows 10 Installation USB drive or burn an ISO to DVD. As the site says, match it to your Edition (Home, Pro, etc.), Language, & Architecture (x64/64-bit or x86/32-bit). Instructions are at the site how to use those to do an upgrade. Basically, you boot to Windows, plug in the media, open it in File Explorer, & click Setup.exe. This promises to keep all 3rd-party apps & all user files. Here are the screens you should see...

However, in your case, try as Juan Pablo G.C. said in this thread on pages 4-6.

Warning: Someone said step (a) made things worse. If that happens, then you'll have to do a clean install & likely lose all user files. So, be sure to back them up.

(a) Select the "Win 10 on volume 3" that got to the error message, probably "c:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop is unavailable".

(b) Ignore that, & just click "Ctrl-Alt-Delete", & select "Task Manager". (If ignoring it won't work, we'll have to move your Desktop folder, as stated elsewhere in the thread.)

(c) From Task Manager's File menu, select "Create new task", & be sure to give it administrative priviledges...

(d) Browse to the Installation USB drive, & click "Setup.exe".

A client of mine has a Windows 10 desktop she bought a couple of years ago. Last week a user (we think her grandson) tried to rollback to a previous version of Windows. But, since Windows 10 is the original OS on the computer, it's stuck. Asks for keyboard language, then gives options to run Windows rollback or Windows 10. When you choose, it reboots and goes right back to the keyboard options. How can I get past this and fix the issue?

No. Not unless you want to delete all the data from your phone.  Which I assume you don't. haha Because it would wipe your OS as well. And then your phone would be bricked worse than your computer.
