It's not a Microsoft problem, it's Whatsapp that sometimes do not recognize the contacts saved in a Windows Phone. I solved it just by saving a new number so it gets added to the contacts, Whatsapp recognize it and starts working again.

hi i recently updated whatsapp on my phone and now its stuck on loading screen even though i restarted and hard reset my phone. Any suggestion to solve this issue.

They want you to contact the developer with one goal in mind: build a new UWP app. All the old apps that are running certain language/programs are not working, it is not coincidence. My bet is these apps are running of microsoft something and they want it to stop. There is an input authentication that is failing, so it is more likely that this is remotely done. That is why some days, it works and some days it doesn't. This is what I think, I am sticking to it.
