Xbox One Wireless controller keeps disconnecting

Hello.

I recently bought a Xbox One Wireless controller with the PC wireless adapter.

The problem is... after I logon into Windows 10 the controller connects fine ONE TIME, then, after turning it off and then turning it on again, the controller connects (light stay still) for about 1 or 2 seconds and then the controller turns off again, I even can use it in those 1 or 2 seconds, showing that it successfully connected, but then it disconnects. The problem is only solved after I logoff and login again into Windows (don't need to do a full reboot).

My wired Xbox 360 controller works like a charm. Why do the next gen controller of Microsoft doesn't work well with a system developed by the same company? When I google it, it's problems all around. And judging by the behavior, it's a driver problem, not hardware, cause if it was a defective unit a simple logoff-login wouldn't fix it (and lots of other people wouldn't have similar problems).

A clean re-install of Win10 Dev edition 1703 seems to have fixed all my issues permanently. Not a single disconnect

It for me - but each wiN10 patch or anything seems to break it

Sigb out , sign back in works

Controllee goes to sleep and you must sign in and out

For now its worKing

Hi ! I just bought my adapter the other day , and I am having this issue , I'm not on an insider build , i'm on version 1607 and the os build is 14393.0 , I have tried troubleshooting nothing , the only thing that fixes it TEMPORARILY is reinstalling the driver, signing out doesn't work for me , this needs to be fixed asap , you could also be losing money because of it think of all the people that would get their money back because of this stupid driver problem , or not buy it because of this.... I have GeForce exp , I uninstalled and this problem still persisted

Neither PC is running Windows Insider build.

One PC has never had the issue, the other always has.

It would be great if this is fixed in up coming Windows version. I had resorted to using an old corded 360 controller to preserve sanity.

Haha! I did the same until now (that the Xbox One controller is working properly).

But it's curious that just one pc works fine and both is running the same version of Windows. Both have Steam installed as well? Maybe you should identify the discerning point between them to try to isolate what's causing the problem.

In any case, if you ever happen to find out the culprit, please reply here so who is passing by with the same problem could fix it too.
