Zune Marketplace disappeared today

So until yesterday, I was still using the Zune desktop software to manage my subscription music.  Search results would show me what's in my collection and also give me the option to download from the store with my 9.99 monthly subscription.  As of today, search results only show me what's in my collection already, so apparently downloading is not longer an option.

Apparently I was the last human to switch to Groove.  The problem is I can't figure how to download music via Groove.  The app store says "instantly stream and download more music than you can imagine..." and "you have a Groove Music Pass".  The only options I see on Groove are to stream or pay $ to download.  If the 9.99 pass only allows streaming, I need to figure out how to cancel my subscription.

So an update. I can still log into Zune software, but aside from seeing the account details about my subscription and which devices are authorized, there's not much I can do.

I can no longer play previously downloaded music from the computer; I'm pretty that used to play before my last post,  but not anymore.

I can still not download new tracks. But now, I can no longer drag DRM music from my collection to certain (maybe all) players, and those players' tracks usage rights have expired despite syncing. So those units are useless until I load some non-DRM music.

I do have one computer and one player that are authorized. So far I can still play tracks on that one Zune device (fortunately a 64Gb HD), but I'm assuming that may go away when the tracks' licenses expire.

Groove still works, and I guess I'll have to adopt the Groove app for my iPhone for mobile listening. I'm not sure I can download tracks to this mobile device for offline listening like I can for my computer.

I assume this isn't going to change, so now I have a subscription until February 2018 that is seriously compromised. No more 120Gb,  30Gb, and 16Gb Zunes loaded with listenable DRM tunes. And I'm assuming my 64Gb will go away, too.

If anyone else is still alive and "listening" in this Zune wasteland, let me know. I'm out of tricks.

More than a week since my last Zune Marketplace download (Rushmore soundtrack, 3/13/2017 around 11 PM CT). I still can log in but can't download anything. The Marketplace server is down but hopefully not out. It's not much use if I can't download new tracks and sync them with my Zunes. I haven't really taken to Groove yet or web app, but I guess I'll have to do that eventually.

Zune software settings still show one computer and three Zunes authorized. Maybe I'll drop one and add one to see if that helps.

When I log into my account on the web, none of the Zunes show (they may all have a sync relationship of "Guest" in the Zune software). Just the PC shows on the web's Microsoft account, under music devices, but maybe it's always been that way. It shows the PC was last used 3/18. My subscription is good until February 2018 with a valid credit card for renewal.

I still have a few Zune players with playable music. The licenses are all likely to expire 4/14, but I'm hoping will renew both on the PC and those players once synced again. Stay tuned.

I did a chat with a Microsoft service agent and they said that the server was going to be taken down.  I can't remember exactly when, but that's the bulk of what they said.  I just tried to sync a bunch of music tracks that I got legally from NPR's 100 new and upcoming artists of this year and it let me sync those tracks.

I still can't sync any videos I download from youtube though, even though the content isn't under DRM of any sort.  I hope they fix these issues soon, but if not...  It was a great run. :(

I *think* that since they took down the main server that checks DRM, that might be the problem.  I don't see why they just won't keep it going.  We were all loyal Zune purchasers and users, plus we STILL use it!  I fell like Microsoft stabbed me in the back with this one.  It's a great piece of tech and it's a shame they're just giving up on it when it has so much life left.

So how do you know that happened? I suspect you're right, and I think there had been other predictions of this happening in March, but where does information come from?

Still having same problem, going on maybe 4 days now.
