How to undo a "scheduled folder"

So, on my phone, I accidentally made one of my folders "scheduled."  Now that folder has a clock next to it's name instead of a folder icon.  I don't know what I did to make that happen.  I don't know what a "scheduled" folder is.  I don't know what benefits I get from having a "scheduled" folder, but I don't want it to be that way.  In fact, I attempted to delete the folder on the outlook.com web app, but the "scheduled" folder continues to appear on my Android Outlook (formerly Acompli) app.  

Can anyone tell me how to undo what I've done?  And can anyone point me to any documentation which would explain what a "scheduled" folder is and why I might want one?

    I am using Android Outlook and had same issue with one of the folder having clock icon next to the name and emails appearing under Scheduled folder. 

    Almost tried everything posted here. 

    Finally, MFCMAPI solved the issue. 

    1. Uninstall the App from Mobile.
    2. Try downloading MFCMAPI on the desktop for Outlook version you are using.

    I accidentally scheduled a folder 'X'.

    To remove the-schedule tag from folder  'X' I set up a new folder 'Scheduled' in outlook on my PC. On my tablet I clicked on the settings icon on the top right hand side of the Outlook app, clicked on my internet account,, clicked on advanced settings and finally on scheduled. All of my folders were displayed. I selected the new folder 'Scheduled' and this then became the scheduled folder and the 'scheduled' tag was dropped from folder 'X'.

    I found out how to fix it!

    Go to online outlook.com then settings -> general -> mobile devices and then remove all mobile devices... after that youre bill able to delete any folder that is not system (inbox, sent, etc etc...) after that even if you install outlook android app schelduled mails will go to scheldued folder! :)

    Hello,

    I raised a ticket with Microsoft App Support (which was very helpful).  Their recommendations were to try resetting the app and then to try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.  The uninstall and reinstall work and corrected the issue.

    Yes. The above instructions are definitely dated as there is nothing in "advanced settings" that deals with the scheduling folder location. 

    I've poked around on my O365 account and O365 Outlook.  I can't find anything that deals with the scheduling folder either.
