If you have KB3093594 installed and your web email is still on Outlook.com (not Outlook Mail), I suggest the following (which worked for me and some others).

    1.  Move all of the emails in your Inbox, Sent and Saved, etc., folders to temporary folders in Storage folders.

    2.  Uninstall Windows Essentials.

    3.  Restart your system.

    4.  Download and install Windows Essentials that includes WLM 2012.  DO NOT INSTALL THE PATCH IN KB3093594!

    5.  If all of your emails don't show in your Inbox, Sent and Saved folders after they sync with the web-based mail, move them from the temporary folders in Storage Folders to their appropriate original folders.  They should sync properly the next time the system syncs.

Taking this action puts faith in the fact that Microsoft will fix KB3093594 before moving you to Outlook Mail.

    Good Luck!

I am having this exact issue.  I've tried the repair Windows Essentials options, reinstalled Windows Live Mail, double checked the settings, and still none of my windows hotmail messages will download into Windows Live Mail.  I can only access them through the web, which is a hassle when dealing with multiple accounts.  I'm using Windows 7 and every update has been installed.  This is a recent (within the last week) development, and I have been unable to solve it.

Some users have independently reported a separate issue with sync of mail with attachments that we continue to investigate.

There are indications that this has been fixed. Can you confirm this? I am now receiving messages that have some kinds of attachment, but I can't say whether this applies to all kinds.

I completely agree. I am not technologically savvy enough to fix these issues myself. And so, I rely on the technical support of the mega companies (in this case, Microsoft) to give me the technical support that I need. I was using WLM2009 when I got the email & it was working just fine. So, I downloaded 2012, along with their patch. Now, nothing will sync. It is up to Microsoft to give us the support we need OR admit they f**ked up & can'take fix it so that we can move on to other options. If Microsoft expects to retain their good reputation & keep their long time customers, then they need to speak up immediately & let us know what they are doing about the problem.

And how many of those offering remedies, including yourself, are using dial-up connections? My guess is nobody. But please correct me if I'm wrong?

My WLM works fine when using a broadband connection, too (most of the time). But usually takes a minimum of 4 to 5 days to sync when using my dial-up connection at home, and that's leaving it connected all night, every night. Which is totally unacceptable when sending or receiving critical emails.

Don't blame the slowness of the dial-up connection either. Because it worked perfectly before all the changes at Outlook.com and the infamous "patch".

As for going through all the various discussions, replies, and answers provided by the community...I wish I could bill Microsoft for all the hours, days and weeks I've spent reading through every reply I could find here and elsewhere concerning this problem. I have nothing bad to say about anyone in the community, or any of the comments they've provided. It's just nobody has addressed my particular problem, or probably ever will due to the low volume of people still using dial-up connections.

I did download Thunderbird a week or two ago. But every time my WLM would sync, I optimistically hoped everything was back to normal. Unfortunately, I think it's time to jump ship for us dial-up users.
