Well - that proves you do have those shortcuts! Looks like you even have more of that one than I do, which is fine. OK, I see from another post the SFC complaint is not that these shortcuts are missing - but that the hash tag doesn't match. That is, they are not an exact match to what SFC expected - which has an ominous sound to me considering we know you've had a number of viruses. But I can't say definitively that is what's up.
Here is the picture you posted below (these can be R-Clkd, copied, & pasted)...
Do you see specifically which shortcut it is talking about? It is the 2nd shortcut from the top (the 4th item) in your picture...
...They both refer to (are in the folder) "C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd_eventviewersettings...". See where that is mentioned in both of your pictures?
(1) Just one - not all 6 - Event Viewer shortcuts was mentioned in CBS.log - right?
(2) Do the search in Explorer again. This time search for "Event Viewer.Lnk".
Just your 6 shortcuts should show up.
(3) R-Clk the 2nd from top (if that's still the right one), & select "Properties".
(4) What shows up in the various tabs...?...
(5) I'm considering asking you to delete that shortcut, & all of the others specifically mentioned in that CBS.log**.**
However, I'll want to teach you how to create a new one first.
(6) Double-click each shortcut in turn (or R-clk & select "Run") on the list of Event Viewer shortcuts.
Does each one work to open Event Viewer?
If not - is the bad one located in "C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd_eventviewersettings..."?
This might be an easier way to identify the bad ones to delete or replace.
