Location is greyed out, i cannot remove internet explorer 11 addon after virus removal

This is the result when I search for Event Viewer in C:

Maybe the files are not missing... the virus may have changed its properties to Hidden Files that's why it will not execute and when I search, it does not show up in missing... I've read that most viruses do that...

I know that must have been tedious work to copy those out, sorry. These missing ".lnk" files are all shortcuts - pointers to the executable program file they are named after. Double-click one of these, & the executable will run. It's so you needn't copy the large program to multiple locations - just put a small shortcut there.

Mysteriously, I've got only some of those, when I begin an Explorer search from C:, like...

...but I've got seemingly all of them when I search from C:\Windows, like...

...Steps Recorder doesn't show up when searching from C:. 

(1) I wonder - would you actually find "Event Viewer.Lnk" searching for it from C: (or even from C:\Windows)?

     That would really add to this new puzzle, if you found it.

(2) Are you implying none of the .lnk shortcuts came up when you searched CBS.log for "missing"?

     If they only showed when you searched for "cannot repair member file", then maybe post the

     whole line one of those showed up in. Did they look like the sample I posted...?...

But these missing shortcuts (if they are really missing) couldn't be causing your Location problem. So, "SFC /Scannow" has failed to name the missing file(s) responsible for that - unless it has to do with the lines you did post that had the word "missing" in it. But those lines don't seem to have a file mentioned in them. I'm reaching my wit's end. I'm also in deep study - but not overly hopeful - over your DISM result.
