"Error 1" when installing "Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework

Hello,

I see a C:\Windows\System32\catroot and wondered if this is about WU as well, sicne you had me rename catroot2 near the start of this thread? 

I am now receving "Error 1" when installing "Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5, 4.5.1 and 4.5.2 on Windows 7, Vista, Server 2008, Server 2008 R2 x64 (KB3037581)"

Any ideas?

    When (exact dates) were KB3037581, KB3023224 & KB3035490 each installed according to Installed Updates?

    KB2972216 = no

    KB2972107 = no

    KB2979578 = no

    KB2901126 = no

    KB2898869 = no

    KB3035490 = yes

    KB3023224 = yes

    KB3037581 = yes

    KB2931368 = no

    KB2894854 = no

    But they should be installed if, after clicking on "Check for updates" - they do not show up under "Select the updates you wish to install" - right?

    So you're telling us that KB3023224, KB3035490, KB3037581, KB2894854, KB2931368, KB2972107, KB2972216, KB2979578, KB2898869, and KB2901126 are all listed in Installed Updates (not Update History) now, is that correct?

    It was my way of saying that I have all the updates and that checking for updates work now.....

    I ran WU and checked Check for updates - and no updates were found - except the defination update for MSE.

    You've answered a question I didn't ask, Charles.
