Video controls are small - How to resize?

I just got a new computer and every video I've watched the video controls (play button, video timeline, expand, etc) are all very small, on every website and on different video players. The video player size is fine, just not the controls. I've tried changing the resolution, it just changes the screen size, doesn't work. IE video controls seem to ok, but Firefox is where the issue is.

Laptop is a HP Envy 14 sleekbook.

    It's an intel hd card. The only two updates I had were for a diagnostics tool, which I updated

    Speaking of which, where has it gone?  E.g. I can find it in Search Settings but it doesn't launch?

    Otherwise, my suggestion for small buttons is to use the Magnifier.  Win++.   Use the Lens mode to attach it to your Mouse pointer  Ctrl+Alt+L.   You can make it as small as possible if all you want to see is where your pointer is going.   E.g. it will be right in the center of the Magnifier.  Win-Esc turns it off.

    It's an intel hd card. The only two updates I had were for a diagnostics tool, which I updated, and the simple pass protection, which I didn't update. I right clicked in the device manager and checked for updates, it searched online but didn't find any.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the information.

    Based on your description, I would suggest you to update the graphics card adapter from the HP support website for your HP Envy 14 sleekbook. But before that, please verify the make of the driver/adapter in the device manager. To check that, refer to the following steps:

    a. Press Windows logo key + X.

    b. Click Device Manager.

    c. Expand Display Adapters.

    d. Check if the driver is an Intel HD Graphics adapter or an NVIDIA HD driver.

    Based on the information from the above stated steps, download the relevant Graphics driver from the following link and check.

    Hi,

    1. My resolution has always been set at the recommended level, 3200x1800, anything less and I get a square non-widescreen screen. 
    2. The only programs I see the problem w/ currently are Firefox, WMP, vlc media player, and bing desktop.
    3. Haven't changed text size, when I changed it, text and icons were all smaller while video controls remained the same size.
    4. I haven't but I just checked for an update and there wasn't one.
