Windows Mobile Device Center Compatibility with Windows 10

That could explain the problem im having as I cant seem to grasp the best way to handle contact information. I have a windows surface pro 3 lap top operating windows 10, office 365 & onedrive, and a Nokia Windows phone. I have 3 different email addresses, one of which is a 'live' address and have programmed the other 2 too come through my Live account so I only see emails in one place. Before moving to my surface pro and office 365/onedrive, my contacts were all in my outlook section on my lap top but when moving over to onedrive I now have contacts in the People section there, and also on my windows phone as they are all syncing. The problem is i have ridiculous amounts of each contact which seem to be ever increasing. What is the best way to stop this and if I want to go through the painful task of sorting them all out, which is the best place to do this? In outlook on my lap top, or in People in my Live account, as I don't want any more added and I'm not sure which overrides which, if any? I really thought that having a windows computer, a windows phone and onedrive would create a seamless solution but I'm clearly doing something wrong as its an absolute disaster! or maybe its just Windows 10!!!!!! ready to throw the whole lot out the window & move to apple, and I dont even like apple!

This is great if you can't connect your PDA to the computer.

My problem, and I believe many others as well, is that connection is made and you are able to browse the PDA but cannot synchronize Outlook email, calendar, contacts, and tasks between the two devices.

I was made aware of a problem with Windows 10 that prevents synchronization and that the Windows staff were aware of it (see previous thread) but as of yet no hot fix, patch, or update has been released to correct the situation.

Additional Information on this procedure above - your may have to try multiple times.  The problem is intermittent.  I have found if I repeat the procedure, it will almost certainly connect within 5 tries.

When the Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional device is cradled or connected, first a Marvel RNDIS appears in other devices, then Microsoft Windows Mobile Remote Adapter device appears under Network adapters, then the Marvel RNDIS device disappears, and if working correctly, the device appears under Portable Devices.  You can then open Windows Mobile Device Center, if it does not open automatically, and it will connect to your device.  When this operation fails, the device under Portable Devices never appears.  Complete installation of the necessary drivers fails..

This requires disk accesses.  However, I checked my disk drive and it is 7200 RPM, so I would not expect disk speed and timeout to be the problem.

I don't see how that's helpful.  We're trying to install WMDC 6 or better in 10
