Sync Center is still there in Windows 10 (Windows key + X > click Control Panel)
Windows Mobile Device Center Compatibility with Windows 10
Is or will Windows Mobile Device Center be compatible with Windows 10? There are some legacy devices that require sync with WMDC and then there are security personnel that do not allow devices to connect to their Wi-Fi but rather connect them via USB using WMDC. I was able to get WMDC to work successfully on Windows 8 and 8.1. So far I have not heard any news in regards to Windows 10. Looking forward to hearing results and or news regarding this. Thx everyone.

2015-09-24T23:27:42+00:00 Hi Microsoft Team,
I went to Windows 10 on 19th September 2015, and found out there is an issue with the WMDC.
It doesn't even launch in my case (the program couldn't be opened, so there is no work around for me).
I'm using this program to connect to my emulator, since I'm working on the consultant company that has to deal with many different customer with their own solution, I really need this to be working and I believe there are a lot of our consultants that using this feature is waiting for this one.
It works great in windows 8.1
For this reason I had to roll back to windows 8.1.
I really like the looks of windows 10 and looking forward to give another try as soon as we've resolved this issue.
Regards,

2015-09-24T14:33:19+00:00 Tried your workaround and was able to get Mobile Device Center to connect again once I removed the device from the cradle. Unfortunately still getting the same error of "... encountered a problem on the desktop".
I chatted with Answer Desk and told them of the known issue and asked to escalate to Tier III. Manager got back to me and closed my case because the issue was being discussed in another thread.
Getting frustrated!
