Family safety: Feedback on recent changes to multi-device management

Put simply, it's unacceptable.

For my child, why would I want to have to manage completely different sets of limits, curfew, blocked/allowed games, allowed ratings, etc for every device to which they log in?

This needs to go back to the old way where the child's account spanned all devices to which they've logged in.

Furthermore, when attempting to manage this new format, here's what I see in my Family Safety area:

How is this helpful at all? Nowhere on this screen do I know the device for which I'm altering the settings. If I click another instance of my child's name, I have no idea which device that is going to either.

I also have a sneaking suspicion this recent change is what is causing so many parents to have settings not taking effect, etc. They're probably altering the settings for the wrong device (because they have no clue where they're at in the system and I don't blame them) or the backend is simply doing things wrong.

Please fix this.

My teenager discovered that he can start YouTube streaming audio and then select Switch User, but not select a user. Then the audio continues to play, but it doesn't count against his screen time. That in and of itself isn't necessarily bad because it's essentially no different than having music playing (old days: radio) while you do your homework. But when he's reached his end-of-day curfew, he can't login, but the stream continues to play.

I've been trying to figure out how this is possible. Can somebody please enlighten me:

To spell it out, my child's limited to 2 or 3 hr of screen time per day. Yet, as you can see by the FS reports, he's been on FAR more than that.

Its amazing that you can't block Microsoft Edge for family members. For this reason I wont let them use the Surface until someone finds a solution , maybe 3rd party, since Microsoft let me down again.

This just in from Norton about norton family safety on windows 10. Assume other third party parental controls will have a similar issue, so be aware of this if upgrading to windows 10 to try the roaming profile.

Assume alternatives are to use third party for detailed time and app management and ms for browsing security or disable edge / explorer and use chrome.

Wondering if it's possible to completely disable edge and/or explorer in windows 10 ? Not just talking about changing the default, but completely disabling it if have migrated to a third party parental control after recent ms family safety changes.
