On my desktop, Groove music is not finding any of my local music files that I have in the folders I have added (mostly my existing iTunes folders). I've tried resetting the app but still no luck. Grabbing my OneDrive files with no problem.
Any thoughts?

In my case the problem was caused by bad permissions on folders in C:\Users...\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.ZuneMusic_8wekyb3d8bbwe
Advanced properties for the folder showed the owner was unknown, I was also unable to take ownership of the folders.
I uninstalled Groove via the instructions at http://www.thewindowsclub.com/uninstall-groove-music-windows-10 then reinstalled and all my music appeared.
Have tried everything to get Groove Music to work properly. Now giving up and removing it from the system. :-(
yea i'm having similar problem with it. All my music is stored locally on an external microSD on my Surface Pro 3. Groove music isn't detecting any of them and not populating the catalogue. Cortana can still play them when I tell her to tho. I've tried all the suggestions here to no avail; moved the files, folder, even placed them on the desktop and readded the To Watch list. I've even shared the files to myself. I hope they look into it real soon, coz its such a downer for me, even thought everything else is good with the new Windows.

This doesn't help. I even tried copying files to the folder Groove/Windows 10 made for music, it still can't find the music on my Surface 3.
