How to get rid of "DNS Unlocker"?

Windows Defender can't remove DNS Unlocker Malware although my Windows Defeneder is up to date!! What to do?

I am just copying some other person's solution which worked for me.

After investigating, I found out that the damn "DNS Unlocker" had modified my DNS settings! After fixing this I was completely good! I have google chrome, so I am unsure if this fix persist to other browsers.

The path to do this follows:

Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings > Right-click your active internet connection (usually Wi-Fi since everyone uses that, unless your using a desktop) and click properties > Now under the Networking tab, scroll down until you find Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) > Highlight that then click on properties > Both options in this windows should be automatic! The first option should be set to "Obtain an IP address automatically" and the second should be set to "Obtain DNS server address automatically!" If your computer belongs to a company or you actually have a custom DNS then this would not apply to you. Once you are finish, click "OK" and close the windows > Now go back into Chrome and reset your settings one more time and boom! It should work just fine.

If you do not see the program in Control Panel that you think is responsible for the ads and popups or you cannot uninstall it then move on to steps 2 and 3 (scan with AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes Free). If necessary you can run Hitman Pro (Trial Version) as suggested in step 4.  You may need to reset your browsers (see step 5).

    The above website is just trying to sell another program, the same people who probably installed the DNS unlocker to begin with.

    This is precisely what I did in Step 2. In fact I went further with Step 3 because the ads popped up even after steps 1 and 2. But like I said, it was somehow downloaded again a few days later.

    What I need is something that can prevent the automatic download of DNS Unlocker.

    It must take a special kind of evil to design something as irritating and messed up as the DNS Unlocker.

    Now, I have had a problem with this particular Adware from the get go in Windows 10. I have a pretty superior Laptop as I am an Architect and am seriously pissed off at this adware. I do not know how it entered my laptop, the last thing i downloaded was drivers for my Printer from the Website of the company that makes my printer. I have been particularly having A LOT of popups and re-directions in the past 4 days. I have tried uninstalling the software from the Control Panel and for the first two days, it kept coming back. Now it doesn't show in the list.

    I downloaded the Adware Removal Tool that detected the adware and deleted it, or so I thought. As soon as I go on any website related to buying or selling, it still redirects me to update my Adobe or to repair my Windows 10 or sometimes to very weird Porn sites. I am afraid because all my personal and financial information is on the laptop and I really don't want to be a target of Cyber crime here. Please help.

    This is what I have done so far :

    1. Removed the software from the Control Panel - Program and Features
    2. Checked my DNS Server settings as was recommended by someone and they were not tampered with.
    3. Deleted the adware using the Adware removal tool.
    4. Reset my Firefox and it still is there.
    5. Checked the settings and add ons of both my Chrome and Firefox, there is nothing there besides the usual Google and Skype Add-ons etc.

    i am feeing desperate. Please help !!!
