SFC cannot fix corrupted files in Windows 7 -- Windows Update for May 2015?

I believe we have a system wide problem!  No, I am not kidding.  I routinely run SFC on computers and it almost always returns a report of no problems or not often but sometimes reports that it found problems and fixed them.  Rarely, it reports corruption found and not fixed.  In those instances the only way I know to fix this in Windows 7 is to re-build the OS.

 In the past several days I have run SFC on 5 different computers all running Windows 7, but in different places, used by different people. 

All report SFC found corrupted files and was unable to fix them.

I do not know if there is corruption, if SFC is itself incorrect, let alone how to fix this.  There is suspicion that the May 2015 patches may have caused this.

    I have no idea about power fix'.  It has nothing to do with the problem caused by KB3022345, which corrupts system files. Removing KB3022345 fixes the corruptions it caused. Running  sfc /scannow will show no violations of system files once the update has been uninstalled.  I do not think other problems you have anything to do with KB3022345.     It is specifically KB3022345

    Any windows 7 computer that has had Windows Update KB3022345 installed will produce unfixable corrupted system files message.

      

    1. Control Panel, Uninstall a Program, View Installed updates.
    2. WAIT a long time till you see the green bar across the top complete its trip
    3. Type KB3022345 into the search box
    4. When it comes up, uninstall it.
    5. close the window
    6. Start globe, All Programs, Windows Update, Check for Updates.
    7. When it finishes find KB3022345, right-click, choose hide.
    8. Run SFC again and you will find no problems

    I did this and I still had problems. I restarted. I still had problems. I used Go The Power's fix and replaced all corrupted .json's in the manifest so that SFC /scannow returned 100% integrity check with no errors. I still had problems. I restarted. I still have problems with Windows Update.

    Something else is going on.

    Same problem for me.  Running a 64-bit, Win7 Home Edition PC.

    Don't you have to click Important Updates first?

    It's 'Hide update' then what happens?

    Click OK?
