Thanks,

Adriana - not sure if you had anything to do with getting the old PM back up, but thanks for any influence you may have had. Because the old PM has been inaccessible for a week after announcing an imminent shutdown, it seems only fair to extend that deadline. People are scrambling trying to get data out of the old PM, and it's just not a very friendly program in that regard. Have you asked the programmers if there is a way we can export from the old PM to a data file like a CSV?
Also, please let the powers that be know that they are shutting down one of the best PM's on the internet in favor of a very mediocre and commonplace offering. The usefulness is gone for me, and I will not be using the new My Watchlist. I don't know what I will be using, but this whole scenario has really soured me and shaken my trust. The old PM is a wonderful tool. If it had been advertised better, I believe you would find you could attract a multitude of users to that platform. The new My Watchlist looks way too much like everything else out there.
Thanks for being our sounding board. I wish you were an MSN senior officer, so you could really get something done.
Ron
I am switching to StockMarketEye. Unfortunately, it is not a web page based PM, but it does allow you to store your info in the cloud and sync different installs so that you have the latest data.
Not having the data from MSN PM, is tough. I have had to go back to my broker(s) and luckily they still have several years of data on all my activity. I did have to make the decision to not go back further than a few years though.
I will say, I will not miss the current MSN PM (the Silverlight version) as much as I miss the older plug-in version was MUCH more useful.
