I have exactly the same issues with KB2919355 as MST_LEECHIPTURNER down to the 75% install where it tries twice and then reverts back. I tried everything I read except resizing partitions and refreshing Windows, so I hid that update. Now I get an 800f0922 error when installing KB2961908 without KB2919355. Some other updates did install OK.

After the roll-back occurs, when I check the update history, it says "No updates have been installed yet." I have been able to install all of the updates except for the big one. There are no error codes. After it finished the installation, it reboots, then begins configuring at boot up. It hangs at 75%, and says it can't do it, so it restores the pc back to previous; no explanation, no error codes. All drivers are up to date. Takes about 3 hours from start to finish. I have done all the trouble-shooting that the MS tech said do. What now?

How does one determine the error code when the update seems to complete and then fails on the reboot? I too have the same problem on this thread, the update goes to 100% when installing, but upon reboot goes to 21%, says it cannot continue, retries, reboots again. Gets to 20% or so again and then finally fails and says that it is "undoing the changes." When I check the update history, it shows as if the update installed correct (about 8 times) though it clearly is still available for download and install and clearly did not work. No error code seems to be available. How do I find out what the error code is, and has anybody found a working fix to install this update? Hello: We have a new april 2013 HP; running clean win 8.0; updated in fall of 2013 to 8.1. Use home machine for photos, docs, music. For last two weeks: KB2919355 will download and try to install, stops at 21% Direct download from microsoft completes, but install stops at about 30% green bar. Error code is 80073712, also KB2961908 fails to install, error code 800F0922. Since the Adobe bug came out, Have generally disabled the add on Adobe Flash, "shockwave." No real change. This seems like some sort or space constraint in installing the download. Do you think Microsoft will get the proper patch? Please help: williamreed_843 ******@earthlink.net

Robert, I have the original Windows 8 OEM disk that I bought when I built the machine. Sounds like you could at least create another partition, install W8, update it and then use that as /source: maybe even with /LimitAccess. But what I was wondering is what if you just make a semi-right guess about /source: without /LimitAccess does that make WU do anything different?
