Found the issue... We Couldn't Update the Reserved System Partition. Microsoft tech is working on this remotely.

Well, it was just a thought which had crossed my mind.
I've seen way too many people who've had none of these apps installed.
Forum support works best when we have a clear cut problem and a clear cut solution. We're in the dog days of this update where most of the folks left (granted not all, but most) have already tried the recommendations, or they need remote support and guidance that one cannot do in a forum.
As a community member here, I'm sorry if I feel frustrated because there isn't a good solution for many that are still posting. I can't help people when their systems are so corrupted that only a repair install will work.
I'm wondering whether this problem stems from a block on upgrading to 8.1 if the user has any of the applications installed which appear in the screenshot. I've compiled that using copy/paste from a number of Compatibility updates, so that's why it's a bit untidy.
But as mention on the right hand side of the image, the program must be uninstalled before upgrading to 8.1
