I had this happen today and it was pretty scary, I was worried that I was going to have to start over from scratch and I had just bought my PC four days ago. It made me so upset that I made myself take a **** and I ended up taking a nap as a result (lol),
thankfully after a while of being stuck on the "Undoing changes" screen, I woke up and found Windows on my lock screen and it was working again.
It looks like I have the option of doing more updates again and some did install successfully, but I'm holding off because I'm worried that I wont be able to use my computer again for a bit and I need to. Most of the failed update came with the error code
"80240054", I ran the update troubleshooter and found this:

If anyone ever has issues with updating their computer like I did, I would definitely recommend running the troubleshooter. I will post an update if my future updates reproduce the same issue along with details.
