Error Code 80073712 Windows update Win 8.1 x64

Ok so here are the system specs

After the last update and restart. I am unable to use Windows update.

I have tried the troubleshooting steps but the problem still exists.

SFC returns no problem at all.

Problem occurring for updates KB2936068 and KB2919355

Using their standalone installer isn't working either.

Hi Jaxx,

Microsoft has issued a fix for your error: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2969339

After you install it, the rest of the updates should download automatically.

    You won't receive that file until you install the new update. If you cannot install the update you will still have the old version. I have no idea why this was even brought up.

    I'm afraid I have to contradict you there. As can be seen from the following screenshot, I had version 7.9.9600.17031 installed already on 22-02-2014 some two weeks prior to installing the 8.1 Update.

    Which prior update installed it?

    You won't receive that file until you install the new update. If you cannot install the update you will still have the old version. I have no idea why this was even brought up.

    You cannot manually update it unfortunately. But it should update automatically provided you have Windows configured to automatically update.
