Flickr has changed there API and I'm not able to use Windows Photo Gallery to load to there site anymore. I've talked to flickr and they say it's cuz of there new API and that Windows Photo Gallery has to update before it will work again. Anyone know what to do?

Just found that Flickr's Web Uploader DOES retain the metadata that you add within Photo Gallery so until the upload feature in Photo Gallery is fixed, I for one will be using this. It's nowhere near as friendly but it does mean that I don't have to type in descriptions and tags for all my photos all over again.

Connection between Flickr and Microsoft does not work because in 2014 Flickr (actually whole Yahoo) changed from http to the secure https and The Photo Gallery is http. I sent this reply and information to Vivien_M.'s (our contact in Microsoft at the time.) post on July 28, 2014:

As I wrote over on the Flickr code blog this week, we now have shiny new SSL endpoints for the entire Flickr API. SSL access has been possible for a long time, but you had to use a different subdomain. Now, every single server in our API cluster is tuned and ready to encrypt your data before it sends it out to you.
The new SSL endpoints for the Flickr API are listed in the code blog post, and all of the API documentation has been updated so that developers can start securing their apps right away.

I apologize for the delay in responding to this thread. We know how convenient to upload photos to Flickr through Windows Photo Gallery, but the recent changes lost its functionality to do so. This concern has been forwarded to the product group and we received a word that there will be no update for this. Therefore, we advise that you upload files directly to Flickr instead.
We appreciate your feedback regarding this concern and thank you for your understanding.

So Microsoft is not going to do anything, the application is from 2012. There have been many letters form clients after that, but this is the truth.

just try it - it affects all versions of windows photo gallery. Upload to flickr does not work.
