Flickr has changed there API and I'm not able to use Windows Photo Gallery to load to there site anymore. I've talked to flickr and they say it's cuz of there new API and that Windows Photo Gallery has to update before it will work again. Anyone know what to do?

Just found that Flickr's Web Uploader DOES retain the metadata that you add within Photo Gallery so until the upload feature in Photo Gallery is fixed, I for one will be using this. It's nowhere near as friendly but it does mean that I don't have to type in descriptions and tags for all my photos all over again.
Is there a Microsoft solution for this one year old issue? Thanks.
After spending hours trying to find a solution, I came upon this thread and I have posted issues with Photo gallery connections to Facebook also now working and no comments as to these issues happen either. MS has a history of doing things, and then dropping the ball. They did a super job in making an application that makes a photo collage and have done nothing with that either, and photo gallery is another mess they created and dropped support on it also as well as many other areas. The office program and OS stuff is all they can handle as that is where the money is for them. I doubt that they even monitor the posts on answers.microsoft.com.
Marci63 didn't ask for a workaround, she asked status. The workaround has already been posted here many times. Marsi63 could have found that by reading back. This forum was/is for users to pressure Microsoft to stop acting like greedy corporate types. The 'fixes' were only secondary, and not expected to be permanent. Maybe I misread your "works fine for me". Microsoft abandoned us, so I'm sure they love to see that. Unfortunately, the majority of customers who came here were looking for someone else to do the footwork. That could be partly why Microsoft just waited for it to die.
I've spent hours online and on the phone with Microsoft's "support" people, and got the same run-around you can see in their previous responses. But my complaint had teeth, and I won a $150 CLAIM AGAINST THEM. If you wish, you can stop reading here, I may be rambling.
I'll give an example of what Microsoft's action did to what was a very smooth system. I can no longer "check-off" to upload a photo or a string of photos, or video AS I VIEW THEM, and upload; that was the process... DONE. NOW, I must know the file name, etc., or look thru thousands of images. And now my WLPG doesn't register when a photo has been uploaded to Flickr. I must spend A LOT MORE time now. All of that was set-up, by me, with the programs that came with my computer purchase. I liked that, just like so many others did. When I bought my car, it was with the expectation it would be 'supported', not that I suddenly would need to figure out using the brake pedal instead for the gas pedal, and I'd still be trying to find a way to stop the car.

Thanks for replying I have just tried dragging a dropping the photos onto Flickr's uploader and it was a pretty straightforward process. Perhaps there is a third party developer out there ready to take on the challenge of writing a revised plug in. I am sure there are still enough Photo Gallery users that would appreciate their efforts even if Microsoft has abandoned us.
