Hi all,
I'm having an issue where if I restart the tablet it gets stuck between shutting down and starting up leaving me with a black screen. I usually then have to soft reset it by holding the power button down for 10 seconds after which it starts up as normal. It sometimes does this after a regular shut down or even sometimes after it's just been asleep. I have done several factory resets slowly installing windows updates, programs, everything I can think of to no avail. This is the third tablet (2 replacements) so I'm thinking it's not a hardware issue. Asus don't think it's a known problem and I've trawled the net but I haven't found many others having this issue. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have faced the same problem. But yesterday I tried to update Bios to last version (216) from http://support.asus.com.tw/. Asus Live Update in my T100 dosn't show this update, it is necessary to download it from web pages.
After Bios update everything looks OK, no problems after reboot or sleep.

Yup the the bios: https://www.asus.com/Notebooks\_Ultrabooks/ASUS\_Transformer\_Book\_T100/ and it will fix all the problems. Haven't had an issue since.
Same problem for me. Putting it to sleep for a short period and the power button wake-up works fine. Sleeping for a longer period, say overnight, and the only was to wake it up is a 10second power button shutdown, then restart. Certainly seems like a soft/firmware problem. I'm concerned that ASUS fail to recognise this situation; this indicates to me that it's not a common problem, if so I'll be after a replacement device....
I'm not sure whether to continually get new devices until I get one that works... Surely I'd read more about it online if it were an issue with every device! What country did you buy yours in Frank Neubecker 2013?
I have this exact issue as you describe.
My T100 always needs to be reset after I leave it on sleep mode for a few hours.
This happens also when it's busy charging and I want to switch it on.
I absolutely love this device apart from this particular flaw.
I hope ASUS will admit to this and send out a firmware update or something.
