"Your computer is low on memory" when its clearly not

Hi guys.  This is happening to me too.

I never would have updated if I knew this would happen, but I got sick of the "Get windows 8.1 free" popup and decided to grease the squeaky wheel.  Now whenever I have a game open for too long it automatically closes it.  It's particularly inconvenient when it keeps me from finishing a match which may make my team lose.

Please fix this, or at least tell me how to revert the 8.1 change, because I honestly feel like I've been cheated by installing 8.1, and Microsoft has a serious problem if its customers are feeling cheated.

Add me to the list of victims. It happens when I play Arma 3, BF Bad Co. 2, Wargame Airland Battle, Etc, Etc. It would save my summer break if someone could find a solution to this.

OK so i have been having this same problem but i managed to fix the crashes though not the popup, at least i can play games now. i have an integrated graphics card and a **** computer, about 2 gigs of ram, the solution for me was to make my games play in compatibility mode for windows 8 instead of 8.1. i hope this helps everyone i don't how to get rid of the pop up but at least now i don't crash.

I left my computer on overnight with only a few applications open (Music, iTunes, Sticky Notes, Win Media Player, uTorrent), the next morning I found the same notification, and it said it had to close windows media player.

As Bennet Martin suggested, I went to the maintenance, nothing useful happened. However, the Event Log showed a problem with Windows Media Player; A red error.
