How to install Apps in SD Card in Windows 8.1 ?

May I know whether is there any way to enable us to install windows store apps into the micro SD card, since my 16GB Dell Tablet is running out of memory. I am using Windows 8.1 (Not RT) ?

Hi Yaman,

By default Windows Store apps will be saved in the following location.

C:\Program Files\WindowsApps

Hence, it is not possible to move Windows Store apps to SD card.

I would suggest you to delete the unnecessary files from the computer and check if it improves in memory.

You may also get in touch with the manufacturer to increase the memory.

    Because you can do all of this on the more open iPad architecture?  I want the feature too, but my iPad doesn't even support a micro SD card let alone controlling the install location.

    Just because the popular kid is doing something retarded does not make it ok for you to do the same thing. Windows didn't do this before and Android is not doing this. Why compare yourself to iPad? AFAIK, android tablet is starting to eat iPad's lunch, just like Android phone to iPhone.

    I tried to install apps normally on the C drive and then manually moving the files to my sd card and creating a junction using the mklink command so that windows would think that it is still installed on the C drive.

    This didn't work and the app would crash saying something went wrong.  This is really frustrating, I can't basically download any apps on the marketplace because I have no space left.

    Shame on Microsoft for making such a terrible decision.
