Hello.

I got an issue with my Lumia 930 that i bought today.

When i've got an incomming/outgoing call the person on the other end can't hear me, but i can hear them clearly. It works when i put the call on speaker, but i want to be able to call someone and not sharing the conversation with everyone around me.

So far i've done:

Soft reset

Hard reset

Nokia Software recovery tool

Does anyone have this issue?

Is there a fix for this or should i return it?

You received a brand new/repaired phone within a week. I did send my phone 3 times for repair and everytime they said they couldn't find the problem. We don't have Microsoft points in The Netherlands and the staff member from T-mobile didn't even want to listen to my recorded memos.

I don't think your reply would still be so cool if you had to wait 3 times for an unrepaired phone. Good for you that your problem was solved in 5 days, but in my opinion it's a little bit dumb to call others whining little ****. Not everyone is as lucky as you with this problem;)

Hi people, ok first thing... don't be drama queens. that needs to be said... you sound like whinging little ****.

    moving on :)

i just got my phone back from telstra shop in the sydney CBD. they replaced the phone in less than a week! i would say about 3-4 days actually.

they simply just sent me a sms to say my phone was ready. i went into the store and they gave me a brand new handset!

    things to note:

    • when you drop the phone in for repair... act dumb! don't be techy, don't tell them the second microphone at position xyz with 3.2 volts is not working, etc etc etc... just say 'the speaker phone doesn't work' SIMPLE
    • let the staff member test and verify the problem
    • when you get the phone back, test the same problem infant of a staff member so they know its fixed. also make sure the phone is running denim!

i did all this and now have a Nokia Lumia 930 running denim that works 100% again. this wasn't an 'apple experience' as far as walking a store with a broken phone and walk out with a brand new phone right there and then, but i was certainly happy! much better than phone repairs a long time ago for old nokia's, ericsson's and the like...

Be positive and friendly to support staff and you might be amazed at the response ;)

Now I hesitate whether to send it back or not......

because it's expensive to send things back and forth.

especially when they do nothing......(highly possible)

    i am in France.

    Hello,

I also have this problem like many others and for me it started a few months ago. When I record a voice memo or make a video with the camera the second microphone doesn't work.

First I did send my phone two times to the repair service of T-mobile, but they 'Couldn't find the problem'... Then I decided to send it to Microsoft and I hoped that they would fix the problem, because they know their own phones better than T-mobile and also know about this issue. In the description I was very clear and I said like 3 times that the SECOND MICROPHONE isn't working when recording videos or making voice memos.

Today I received my phone from repair and guess what? They didn't do anything, only a functional test... So I tested the second microphone and it stil isn't working! I just don't understand why they didn't repair my phone, it's a well known problem and I made it very clear that my second microphone isn't working.

I'm very frustrated right now, I made a phone call to microsoft and they said that I have to send it again for repair to them. I did already send it 3 times for repair and I still have the same problem...

For me this was the last time that I bought a Nokia, Microsoft doesn't care about us and if you send your phone to them for repair because your SECOND MICROPHONE isn't working, they wil do NOTHING.

btw. I live in The Netherlands and I had to send the phone to a German repair center.

ok so I took my 930 back to Telstra in Sydney. they are sending it away for repair.....

they knew about it and said a lot of their staff have the problem and its well known!!!

they also said that if it cant be fixed I can get a different phone ;)

if I drag that out I may get a 950 to replace!!!! its only a few weeks away :)
