Hello.

I got an issue with my Lumia 930 that i bought today.

When i've got an incomming/outgoing call the person on the other end can't hear me, but i can hear them clearly. It works when i put the call on speaker, but i want to be able to call someone and not sharing the conversation with everyone around me.

So far i've done:

Soft reset

Hard reset

Nokia Software recovery tool

Does anyone have this issue?

Is there a fix for this or should i return it?

Having the same problem here. After some software update 3 weeks ago, the mic is not working more than 10% on this apps. It should be a software issue, but its quite strange that nobody is reffering to this problem, since it looks so widely spread...

Tried many things but no solution. I guess its software based, because in Lumia camera, video has good audio recording, but the rest is not working. Weird thing is that the phone calls mic works perfectly, there should be a way to asign that primary mic for skype, onenote, voice recording, etc (speaker mode mic)...

Hope we can contact Gabe Aul or somebody else related to notice this issue to MS...

I know how frustrating this issue is. The pathetic part is I check this blog almost daily in hope that someone anyone had posted or had absolution to this problem. And yet day after day NOTHING but frustrated people and complete silence from Nokia/ Microsoft.

I am having the same problem - seemed to happen after I updated my phone to Denim and / or the latest 8.1 Developer update (no further updates are available). My principle issue is the inability to use Speakerphone functionality - everyone complains they cannot hear me, however when the device was original / new (pre updates) it worked flawlessly and was one of the reasons I chose this phone. I've been looking for a fix for several months now, and really am now simply fed up.

I'm pretty dissapointed at the longevity of this problem - this is supposed to be a flagship device, and seemingly MS doesn't care less about it. I've always purchased the best model available at the time of sale, and this type of thing makes it hard to recommend Windows phone to anyone, especially when you pick up a competitor device (Galaxy or Apple) and they 'just work'.

Is there any conrete way to resolve this, other than having the phone phyiscally replaced? I had a chat to support on the phone about this, and they advised it was likely a 'user issue' - the nerve! I'm a MS Partner / Engineer, sell primarily MS solutions and can tell you right now I know how to use a speakerphone ..

    Really quite unimpressed.
