Hi
I also have a Dell Inspiron 15R SE with an AMD Radeon graphic card 7730M and Intel(R) HD graphics 4000 which I bought 3 months back with WIndows 8. My laptop is facing the same 'blue screen' issues of THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE driver and "no sleep" for past
few weeks.
I followed up this forum and as recommended I used the link Struxx mentioned to see drivers to download. However, it shows me video drivers compatible with windows 7 and none for windows 8. If any of you have the same configurations, could I download any
of those drivers for my laptop?
Please help.
Hi WhiteTigress and Samila Kowli,
Following my earlier post, I now have AMD Radeon HD7730M driver v13.151.0.0 dated 19/08/2013 installed on my laptop. I have just today had an error message about it not working and that I should reinstall - I have not done that yet as the laptop is doing
all that I want at present. I do not exercise the graphics particularly hard. My laptop sleeps nicely and wakes up quickly :-).
If you want to get the latest drivers from Dell, do the following:
- Using the charms, search for My Dell Support Centre - it gives your service tag
- Access the Dell web site using your browser - I get errors when trying to access it from the Support Centre application.
- On the Dell web site, click Support from the menu, then "For Home".
- Enter your service tag as instructed.
- Select "Windows 8.1 64 bit" in the dropdown box.
All drivers available for download are displayed. I installed the video driver (v13.151.0.0), the wireless bluetooth driver (v3.1.1309.386), and the wifi driver (v15.8.0.5) - these are the version numbers now displaying in my Device Manager. Having just
gone back onto this site, I cannot see the wifi driver in the list, but I have them all on my local disk. The wifi driver might be bundled in with the bluetooth package, because it is all Intel and both have the id "N2230".
