Hi, for about 9 months now I'm experiencing kernel 41 errors. I got them about once or twice a month, but this month they happened already 6 times. I have a VAIO notebok VPCF23C5E with a 500 GB SSD drive with Win7 Pro SP1 German. I constantly use my notebook between 10-12 hours a day and work a lot with Photoshop, InDesign and Visual Studio. When the system crashes I'm doing nothing special, just clicking somewhere. The crashes never appeared on high loads, like copying a terabyte hard drive or heavy work in Photoshop. Normally I'm just writing an email or clicking in a program. Once the system just turned off without a blue screen. The bugcheck codes vary:
0, 0x0000001A, 0x00000050, 0x000000D1,0x0000010D, 0x0000000A, 0x0000001E
I have no clue where to start searching. I run the sony hardware tests and they reported no error.
All Windows and Sony updates are installed. The only non-Sony driver I have installed is the NVIDIA graphics driver. I know I updated it before, but can't recall when. I think I tried it as a solution for the crashes. I updated the driver again about a week ago after the crashes became more, but the crashes still happen.
If I can't find a solution I have to get the computer to Sony repair to check the hardware soroughly. I might be HW, but it could also be a driver issue. I just have tons of timely work to do and really can't be without the computer for days. So if anybody has an idea or even better a process how to pinpoint the source of the crashes I would be very thankful.

my default setting is to show hidden and system files. My system is set to create mini dumps. I also have one mini dump file in the Minidump folder from end of July. It is the one I posted. I had 11 crashes since then.
It is 2am and I'm getting really tired. I'm have been working on an important project. I will provide you the system file and the other information tomorrow.

The smaller dump is more useful. If you just provided the information I asked for we might discover why you cannot find dump files.
The dump file will be created at c:\windows\minidump. You may need to change your settings in Windows to be able to see the file. To show hidden files type Folder Options in the search box above the Start button and select View, Advanced Settings and verify that the box before "Show hidden files and folders" is checked and "Hide protected operating system files" is unchecked. You may need to scroll down to see the second item. You should also make certain that the box before "Hide extensions for known file types" is not checked.
Do not worry out about language. In this forum we handle reports and files written in many languages.

I have a German version of Windows. I would prefer an English version, but if you want to have a German keyboard on a Sony notebook you have to get it with a German Windows.
The options I have on my German version are
a) "kleines Speicherabbild" which translates to "mini memory dump" and saves in the"'%systemroot%/Minidump folder
b) "Kernelspeicherabbild" which translates to "kernel memory dump" and saves into %SystemRoot%\MEMORY.DMP
So I'm a little bit confused to what I should set the system to. Gerry, you asked me to set it from full dump to kernel memory dump. I thought full dump is the larger one and kernel memory the smaller one (it also saves in the Minidump folder), but in the German translation kernel memory dump would be the bigger dump.
I still don't understand why windows does not create any dump files anymore. During the last crash it seemed that the system just turned off (as I said I was not in the room, but the system did not show a blue screen and did not reboot—it also happened before). At the two previous crashes auto-reboot was turned off and still the system re-booted after showing the blue screen.
Please, let me know if the current setting to the mini dump file is correct and then I will provide the other information.

Change your dump file setting from full dump to kernel memory dump.
Please provide a copy of your System Information file. Type System Information in the Search Box above the start Button and press the ENTER key. Select File, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. The system creates a new System Information file each time system information is accessed. You need to allow a minute or two for the file to be fully populated before exporting a copy. Please upload to your Sky Drive, share with everyone and post a link here. Please say if the report has been obtained in safe mode.
Please upload and share with everyone copies of your System and Application logs from your Event Viewer to your Sky Drive and post a link here.
To access the System log select Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer, from the list in the left side of the window select Windows Logs and System. Place the cursor on System, select Action from the Menu and Save All Events as (the default evtx file type) and give the file a name. Do the same for the Applications log. Do not provide filtered files.
