My laptop was working fine last night, however I left it on and unplugged and it died. This morning I am getting an endless loop of 'Your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart. We are just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart for you' 

the message pops up for one second and then the VAIO logo reappears before the blue screen pops back for a second. This just goes on forever with no additional info. I can see an additional line appear on the blue screen every time just as it turns off so it is unreadable.

Help please?

more info: The percentage bar never goes past 0% It just pops up and immediately goes back to the VAIO screen.

Hi Wesley,

This issue could be due to system files corruption, I would suggest you to try performing automatic repair using Windows 8 disc from Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) and check if it helps.

To perform Automatic repair on Windows 8 computer follow these steps:

a.     Insert the media such as (USB or DVD) and restart your computer.

b.     Press F12 key (typically this is F12, but it can differ between computer manufacturers) and choose the drive that you inserted the installation media into.

c.     Once the Windows Setup window appears, follow these steps:

d.     Click next and select Repair your computer.

e.     You will then see a blue screen and an option to choose. Choose the option Troubleshoot and select advanced options.

f.      You may choose Automatic Repair from Advanced boot option.

    Ok, this happened to me once and I managed to fix it. It happened with me when I started a party at Work At a Pizza Place on ROBLOX and then my PC just went off. I turned it on, endless BSOD loop. Now, before it displays the BSOD, it might say "Starting Automatic Repair" and then it displays the BSOD. The reason for this might be because the program is corrupt or your PC cannot read it. So unplug the hard drive, take it out and leave it for a few minutes. Then put the hard drive back in and see if that works. After that, it might say "Starting Automatic Repair" again. But that is fine because then it won't display the BSOD. Then it might say "Configuring PC Settings". Again, that is fine. It won't display the BSOD. Then it will display a blue screen. But it isn't the BSOD. It is the repair screen. Select "Advanced Options" and select "Reboot with advanced options" or whatever it says. Then another blue screen pops up. It isn't the BSOD. It will say some options. So press F4 to boot into Safe Mode. Wait a while, and then your PC will boot up with no BSOD. However, you need to sign into an administrator account while in Safe Mode. Reboot your PC normally and see if that works. Then no more BSODs!

    I am getting the message "Your Pc ran into a problem etc.

    I only downloaded windows 10 last night. Now I can't do anything with my PC, I can't restore the programme as  it was windows 7 and it came with the PC. This message just goes around in a loop and has made my laptop a waste of space.

    What can I do.

    After the restoration what happened?  I get a Black screen with no apps  and the start has been disabled? Is it just a matter of waiting now?

    Actually I use windows8, and I have been spending over 1000 euros in my work laptop, I must to say that Windows with the Updates and all the system is the WORST invertion I have been doing. Tomorrow I will buy a Mac Pro, and I will never go back to Windows. Your company is really a disgrace for many people who work with it.  Thanks.
