The file ntoskrnl.exe is dated March 7 and has the following version information:

c:/windows/system32/ntoskrnl.exe:

File Version:  6.2.9200.16551

Product Version: 6.2.9200.16551

File Flags:

 OriginalFilename: ntkrpamp.exe

 ProductName: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System

I have a full memory dump available.

How should I troubleshoot this (other than the tedious msconfig / disable stuff / enable stuff /... process)?

The error still references the ATSwpWDF.sys.

Try the following driver (supports both 32-bit and 64-bit):

This driver is meant for 64-bit Windows, whereas I'm running 32-bit Windows 8.1.

I've managed to change the driver from:

    File Version: 3.4.3.78

    Product Version: 3.4.3.78

    File Flags: PRIVATEBUILD

    File OS: NT_WINDOWS32

This broke fingerprint authentication, so I just uninstalled all Authentec software for now...

The error points to the ATSwpWDF.sys (Authentic driver):

830f7edc  bfc7e3cb*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded forATSwpWDF.sys

Try the driver that is linked in the following thread which should work on your system:
