I saw this post today and the information provided helped me fix this issue.

http://www.eightforums.com/hardware-drivers/17161-intel-wiusb-driver-not-working-properly.html

The link basically says to visit the Intel website and use the Intel Driver Update Utility. The utility will automatically scan your computer for devices that are eligible for an update. Hope this helps you because it helped me. I also updated my Wireless driver while I was using the Intel Driver Update Utility since a newer driver was recently made available.

This worked for me; however, I ended up having to uninstall the old Intel WiDi driver and then restarting my computer before the setup.exe file would run and install on my computer (dell inspiron). I did create a restore point in case it didn't work, but everything seems to be running smoothly!

I should also point out that just deleting the Intel WiDi driver also got rid of the yellow exclamation mark, and unless you are planning to try and connect to your computer to your TV wirelessly, I don't think it is something that you need. Here is a link that explains what the driver does:

I am not clear on these instructions... can someone please tell me how to do this step by step. I've already done the intel utility and downloaded 3 drivers, but that was never the issue. It is now having a time out issue, and still says UBS-IF x HCI USB Host Controller is not working proper due to unable to install drivers update.

I am not that good with this, but I can follow directions if made clear enough.

    Thanks Pls help!

I had to fix HP touchsmart 15F series laptop. USB 3.0 and usb hard drive plugged, worked well but suddenly received connectiong and disconnecting hardeware sound repeatedly.

Showing unrecognize msg on the screen.

processor intel celeron quard core , 4GB DDR3 , Mother board HP Laptop board part no is 792575-501

I tried downloaded drivers from Hp web site, and finding solutions on the web site.

not fixed, after that. I connected it to web and find the correct product from hp by product identifier, also installed assistance software, download the coreect BIOS (code 25 bios driver)

After that fixed usb errors without install drivers again. But arise not working wifi or lan driver, but connect it to usb 3\g dongle and install product assistance .after ran it was identified the product well and search updates, but not showing to windows 8. but showing to 8.1 after installed drivers and fixed all.
