Fact: IE10-for-Win7 is not ready for "prime time" - which is why it's not being pushed via Automatic Updates yet. Fact: When Microsoft decides to push IE10 via Automatic Updates, free support will begin - but for now, you're on your own. Tip: Stick with IE9 for the time being save yourself a lot of grief. IE 10 not ready for Prime Time you say? These Monopolists at Microsoft have already spewed forth IE 11!!!! I wish that there was some talented individuals in the computer world that would make an alternative to windows that an avid pc gamer could use, IF I ever win the lottery I will personally fund this, I am going to call it the Freedom from Tyranny project!!!! We Americans and not only in this country but anyone who uses the world wide web the majority of us all use windows well, to be honest , Windows 7 works ( why the **** do we need windows 8? I do not even own a damn Ipad ,isn't that an Apple invention anyway?) so why change it ? We Long term Desktop and Laptop users are not only accustomed to the format of a workspace and a taskbar format with userfriendly access to every single solitary aspect of our PC that to change it puts some of us in a state of temporary PC shock! Windows 8 looks like it was made specifically for an IPAD!!!!! I will never use an IPAD , I don't give a damn if they shrink the desktop to the size of one I love my PC just the way it is! Yes I am saying I love it like my dog Fido with a certain but similar affection. Give us back our trustworthy old OS format and quit trying to manipulate people , we are not just simply consumers we are humans being and thats the way we like it! Microsoft is probably controlled by some massively evil AI like in the Matrix! Oh yeah and I have the same problem as everyone else I am forced to use IE 9 , I have tried several times with catastrophic results ( damn good thing I had google Chrome or I wouldn't have been able to access the internet to fix the IE 10 problem!) So now I simply am content to keep IE 9 the way it is cuz I know the tortue that awaits if I try to fiddle with it! Days of torturous pasting , cleaning files , following instructions hoping that you have finally found your answer and when you are wrong , its System Restore or recovery from a previous version of windows on an external drive and on and on.
