How do I fix "Error Loading Player: No playable sources found

Update Version 9.0.12

    i get this error message from live tv streaming online

    The error appears when going to an internet site to play an MP3 audio file.  I am using the Windows Media Player, which is my default player.

    I am running Windows 10, trying to watch the news on WLOS.COM. There are videos and live streaming (format unknown to me), but none of them will run. I'm using the Firefox browser, and my media player is Movies & TV, which it says is recommended for Windows 10.
