Using Windows Phone 8, I am unable to open media content in text messages, says getting content but doesn't open

I received a text with the message "Get media content now". When I "click" on the message phone says "getting media content" then switches back to "get media content". The media does not open.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for having written on the forum.

It could be possible that you’re trying to open or download a format file which isn’t supported from Windows Phone 8.

Another origin of this problem could be related with if the files you’re trying to download or open are protected from a password. This feature isn’t supported from windows phone.

IM SO UPSET OVER THE SAME SITUATION.......I NEED MY MEDIA CONTENT TO OPEN.....MY 3 MONTH OLD NIECE HAD OPEN HEART SURGERY ONCE, AND IS GOIN AGAIN THIS WEEK, THE PICS SENT TO ME ARE PRICELESS AND I NEED THIS PROBLEM SOLVED.........PLZ ...IVE TRIED MOST SOLUTION IVE READ HERE AND NOTHING,....I HAVE NO BUTTON THAT SAYS CELLULAR? IM IN TEARS HERE.......IDK WHAT TO DO.....NEED A FIX THAT IS EASY TO UNDERSTAND...AND FAST.....THX

I AM SO FRUSTRATED AND UPSET........I PAY FOR A NICE LOOKIN PHONE ONLY TO BE DISAPPOINTED IN IT.........TIRED OF HAVING TO LOOK UP ANSWERS AND NONE COME WITH A VALID SOLUTION.....I THINK IT SHD BE FIXED AND A LINK POSTED SO WE ALL CAN HAVE A STRESS FREE, ENJOYABLE PHONE.......MINE IS A LUMINA 520........I ALSO CANT GET MEDIA CONTENT...CANT FIND A SOLUTION THAT WORKS.........WOULD APPRECIATE HELP FROM SOMEONE IN CONNECTION WITH WINDOWS PHONE CREATER......CUZ WE ALL SHD NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH SUCH ISSUES........THANKS

I have a nokia 520, and am with Rogers....have the same problem,,,,,getting media content then nothing!! I keep hitting it, but still nothing.... so very frustrating............ so if it is same with T-Mobile... and AT&T.... must be the phone..... sucks!

There was a recent update sent out for my 928, now it works GREAT!! See if your model has an update. Otherwise go to your provider they can help. Hang in there, there is a way to fix it!
