I have windows 7, and for the past few months I am unable to update windows.

Windows update is stuck at downloading 0kb 0% and after viewing all the similar posts around the web regarding this problem I still cant fix it, even after trying everything (stopping and restarting the service, disabling av and firewall, delete softwaredistribute folder and so on...).

Im desperate, please help.

This problem often arise with the windows 7 . the reason is cancelling the windows update during the process or force stop the process.

Your Windows is actually downloading the update but the status bar is not showing so thats what lead to the confusion. Connect your windows with the fast internet connection and wait. It will be completed itself. Dont worry.
