Lumia 1020 Camera Won't Hold Focus

When using my 1020, I hold the shutter button halfway down to let it autofocus. It proceeds to do so briefly, but as I push the button, it loses focus and results in blurry photos. The manual focus does a little better. If I tap to focus, I can usually get the focus I want after 10 or so tries. This issue comes up at any focal distance.

Is the camera broken?

    Having the same issue here...have the handy scan paid app that is now useless because the camera won't focus. Warranty is out. I'm am getting more and more dissatisfied with Window's Phone, especially when I learned that the 1020 wouldn't be getting the denim update!

    Hm...are you Microsoft guys working on this issue? Its clear som old update messed up lots of 1020...mine cant focus since 2-3 month back. Im still paying for this **bleep** phone, but now I need a new one because its not even possible to communicate wit hit when it thinks earphones are connected but they are not!

    This link wasn't helpful at all, if you actually read the problems you would know that NO ONE has fixed their issue but resetting the phone or a software update. I wish you all would address the actual issue.

    hy..i have nokia lumia 1020 but its camera does not work proply it have a focus issue...its camera focus the objct which ix near but cant focus which was in a distance...but at a proper distance sometim it is fully focusd...is it software issue??plz anybody help me

    Ridiculous this is indeed...

    Same issue here.

    The problem started a few weeks ago just once upon a time the focus stopped working.

    When I press the camera button to take a picture you'll see a well focused image for about 2 seconds, then you'll here a "clicking" sound and then a blurry picture is taken.

    Still no fix for this? Can't imagine that it's a software issue.
