Hi thanks for your advice.  Now I understand the feedback hub I will use this as well.  If anyone is still following this thread I have set up a feedback for this error.  Please go on and upvote it to see if we can get it sorted!

I have put in under the category 'networks'.  Didn't know really the best place.  However the wording is:

'Please can Microsoft fix error code 2147500037'.

    I'm watching this space........

Does Microsoft look at these comments or do we just become bitter and twisting amongst ourselves because nothing is done?!!!!

    Doubtful.

You might get Microsoft to take notice by posting grievances to the Feedback Hub, which became available to users of Windows 10 since the release of the Anniversary Update.

You could voice your dissatisfaction through the Feedback Hub. Select the keyboard shortcut Win+S and type Feedback Hub. Click the Best Match at the top of the dropdown menu. Type Windows Update Restart, click Trending followed by Upvotes. You add your Vote by clicking Upvote 2 under the number of votes already cast supporting the comment e.g. 429 1 in the image below:

John, I am shocked and disappointed to hear this.  Does Microsoft look at these comments or do we just become bitter and twisting amongst ourselves because nothing is done?!!!!

I am being hopeful that they are watching and will finally do something  - especially if it is still a problem in their most up to date software.  Otherwise I am not very impressed.

It does not surprise me that this topic has been going on for so long, I had a similar issue with a much earlier MS operating system in the 80's. I spend hours, over a period of many months trying to work round a problem for the network I ran. Eventually attended a meeting at which Microsoft was present and asked a representative about it. His reply was that it had never worked. "What was going to be done about it?" - "Nothing". I came very close to hitting him! Clearly the customer unfriendly, couldn't care less, attitude still persists today and if anyone expects any change after almost 30 years of building on it, then it would appear to be wishful thinking.

Sadly it appears that this attitude is migrating to Apple who used to put usability and customer service first.

They should get back to it before it's too late.

I had the same error code 2147500037, the easiest way round that I found was a simple screen print into word and print my homegroup password from there, I use Firefox as well and won't change it
