Can't create recovery drive on this PC
Hi guys,
Just tried to create a recovery USB drive. But I find that "We can't create a recovery drive on this PC. Some required files are missing. To troubleshoot problems when your PC can't start, use your Windows installation disc or media."
Uh?
Is a fresh Windows 8 x64 (RTM) installation. Only thing that I can think of is it has UEFI and Secure Boot enabled.
Ideas?

2017-10-05T07:31:22+00:00 You must know that everyone who asked the question, did the very same procedure, so you really didn't answer the question and surely others may have noticed that also. The 'helpful' procedure you outline is almost insulting, as it assumes that we didn't do what you outlined to do, which is the only way to have gotten the message that it was unable to create the drive due to required files missing. That message is the result of trying to create a recovery USB drive but having a problem with a requirement it seems unabl;e to tell us about, as in which files are missing. It's like having been punched in the nose and asking a nurse, I'm bleeding profusely, what do I do, and she says, well it looks as though you have an injury to your face, it's bleeding. The question was how do I respond to an injury for which my expertise is limited and I've done what I can do, so please advise me what to do next. The nurse is answering a question that was not asked, and to be bleeding so, I must know it, cuz I'm asking the question.
Either tell us which files are missing or how to find which ones are missing, STOP answering questions no one asked. The question is in the asking and the result of having gone through the procedure. AAAARRRRGGGHHH!!! god you 'experts' piss me off. If you don't send us on a merry link chase that takes us back where we started, or you're so cryptic, it'd be better to go to a site that asks the question in a language we don't speak. results are the same.
Thank you.
