How to Remove Sendori Malware?

Hello,

Does anyone here know anything about Sendori?  According to some it is a tool used to correct spelling errors, according to others it is a form of anti-spyware, and according to others it is a homepage hijacker.  I believe what I have is the latter as it has changed my homepage and degraded my browser performance.  I have heard that it is undetectable by AVG and I just did a full scan using Windows Security essentials and didn't pick it up.  I tried uninstalling through Control Panels - -> Programs and Features but could not remove it.  I am hesitant to use more radical methods to remove it such as deleting executables and .dlls or doing a forced uninstall using Revo Uninstaller as I have heard sometimes if you ARE able to remove it it will change your DNS settings upon removal.  Does anyone have any ideas?

You might also try this web site - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com - contains details for many of the common infections, often immediately after they began to appear in the wild, and instructions are provided for how to remove the infections using their malware removal guides. They also have forums where you can seek help from people who specialize in malware removal.

    AxiomX's answer worked for me:  "go to your hard drive (Local Disk) , under Programs Files and or Program Files (x86). You should see a folder Sendori, inside that folder is their uninstaller."

    Sendori was downloaded onto my machine without my knowledge or consent.  That, alone, makes it malware.  While it was on my machine, it warned me that every site I went to was not trusted (including Yahoo mail!).  I also had trouble performing a simple backpage, usually having to hit the homepage icon and starting each search over.

    To remove it:

    1. Go to the Start Menu. Select Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs or Uninstall a Program.
    2. Look for "Sendori" in the list. Select the program and click Remove or Uninstall button.
    3. Open Internet Explorer. Go to Tools >> Manage Add-ons.
    4. Select Toolbars and Extensions. Uninstall everything related to Sendori from the list.
    5. Select Search Providers and choose your desired search engine and make it your default, same for search provider (set as default).
    6. Go to Tools >> Internet Options. Select General tab and click Use default button or enter your own website and click OK to save the changes.

    Worked on a Windows 7 laptop which was booting very slowly.  The problem was the Sendori application.  Could have been a conflict with another boot service, but I didn't waste any time trying to figure out if that was the case.  Removed Sendori and the system boot time returned to normal.
