Hi,

Just installing this month's updates, and I'm having a problem installing one of them. Games For Windows Software 3.5 doesn't seem to want to update and is giving the error code 80070643. Had a quick search round and can't seem to find anything useful. Not sure what's causing this. Anybody else having this issue?

    No it doesn't - I don't have the 8 RC installed.

Does it have anything to do with running Widows 8 RC and having Windows Companion connected to the Xbox 360?

It is aimed @ Games for Windows....  just tossing it out there

Same error as above here as well.  Tried the fixes listed, including the fix posted by doug65536.  I am still getting the update fail error.

From reading the last five pages, it seems the issue is a newer version of the Live ID Sign In Assistant is already installed, and the patch offered rolls back when it finds this.  I gather that nothing will work until Microsoft releases a fix.

If any gets a fix to work, please post it?  Thanks.
