"The program (VUDesktopToast.exe - System Error) can't start because mfc110u.dll is missing from your computer"

The problem with my SONY VAIO notebook VPCEH40EB was resolved as follows:

a) I found the executable VUDesktopToast.exe following this path:

Computer> Local Disk (C :)> Program Files> Sony> VAIO Update

b) I found that really there does not exist the file mfc110u.dll

You must download and install the file.

The steps are these:

1. To download:

2. To install the file. Dll:

http://www.dll-files.com/unzip.php

This solved also the problem for me!!

I have a VGN-Z11MN and I moved from Win7 64bit to Win8

It doesn´t work with uninstall. My System says " uninstall stopped because Vaio Care is installed."

How do i uninstall Vaio update then?

1. Sony Vaio MODEL VPCEB27FD
2. Windows 7 home premium.
3. I used the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant.
4. The error appeared exactly after the first time I installed the Windows 8. Since then, everytime I start Windoes.
5. So far, just after starting the system. 
6. It is a pop up with the option to click on button ok.

I have the same problem on Sony VAIO VPCEB37FG. I did restored the VAIO to factory default, then did the upgrade to Win 8 from a DVD cut from an ISO win 8 file downloaded via upgrade assistant.

My problem is the same except that I suspect that it relates to the system time, which is suddenly a problem and does not retain correct Internet time. It seems to me that the clock update from time.windows.com (or any of the other optional clocks) does not work properly and frequently when I manually update to correct the system date / time, I get the message. Right now I am not at the machine (using IPad) so cannot send a screen shot of the message, but will do so ASAP.

Has a solution been found? I am desperate as the clock issue is a real pain.
