Batman: Arkham city: Games for windows live doesn't pop up!
Hi, I'm here today because I have some problems with Games for Windows Live, or GFWL. I used it for many games, including Arkham Asylum, in which GFWL works fine, but when I try to open up GFWL in Arkham city pressing home, nothing happens. I reinstalled GFWL, updated it, and did all sorts of things, but nothing seems to be working. Any fixes? (Basically, I'm saying that even with GFWL installed, GFWL does not pop up in Arkham City even when I press home button and the "LIVE" button in-game.) Thanks in advance.

2013-02-26T03:47:19+00:00 I followed all of your steps and still had no luck. I am running windows 8 pro x64. When I tried to install the dot.Net.fx 4.0 the installer told me I already had it installed. That was my only deviation from your instructions.
The game launches fine, but the home button does not do anything. Clicking on the windows live button in game also does nothing.
I have installed and reinstalled batman and gfwl over and over. Any other ideas on what I can do to get saves to work?
This is my exact same issue, is there a real fix for this yet? this sucks bigtime. when i log in to gfwl it shows my percentage of game beaten It just wont pop up in game and allow me to continue from last save. please help?

2012-07-30T20:18:48+00:00 Hey guys I finally have the exact and proper solution for this problem.
you might find these steps little bit long nut i guarentee you all guys it works 1000%.BUT its only for users of WINDOWS 7 32bit/64bit,Vista, and windows 8 CP,RP,and DP both 32/64bit.
Now im currently playing the Batman arkham city of BLACKBOX.But this also works with the genuine copy.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE USING THE BLACKBOX OR SKIDROW COPY
1)first of all Uninstall the entire game and games for windows live if yoy have mannually installed it later on.
2)delete the profile folder named "WB GAMES" from your users my document folder.
- then reinstall the game again.but do not run the game or Bm launcher.
4)then download the Games for windows live(GFWL) client server (70 mb) from this link
http://download.freewarefiles.com/files/gfwlivesetup.exe
5)then again download visual c++ 2010 from this link.
(FOR 32bit OS)
http://download.microsoft.com/download/C/6/D/C6D0FD4E-9E53-4897-9B91-836EBA2AACD3/vcredist\_x86.exe
(FOR 64bit OS)
http://download.microsoft.com/download/A/8/0/A80747C3-41BD-45DF-B505-E9710D2744E0/vcredist\_x64.exe
6)then at last download dot.Net.fx 4.0 from this link
7)after you have downloaded these files, then first install the visual c++2010,
then after install the Games for windows live client.
NOTE: after the Games for windows live client server set up is complete its live messenger will pop up and asks you to sign in.so just simply close AND DO NOT SIGN IN.
8)after that finally install the dot.Net.fx 4.0. after the steup is complete finally go your batman game directory and search for the xlive.dll in it.and delete all the xlive.dll you find. then restart your PC and launch game. and thats it press HOME button and you will have your GFWL POPUP and create your local offline account.
NOW FOR THE GENUINE COPY OF GAME:
normally i have found cases that most of the guys loose their GFWL or GFWL crashes when they update it, so the solution is simple
1)JUST Uninstall the GFWL from controll pannel, then down load the GFWL server client from above given links and also the dot.Net.fx 4.0 from the above links.
- delete the XLIVE folder from C:\Users\current user\AppData\Local\Microsoft.
- install the dot.net fx first and then install the GFWL client server,do not log in in the GFWL client server, and delete the Xlive.dll from the game directory and WB GMES folder for users documents folder. then run the GAME and enjoy.
PLZ COMMENT IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEM.I SUGGEST YOU TO FOLLOW ALL THE STEPS AS I HAVE MENTIONED.
