I had the same problem of my wifi showing limited everytime I connect. After searching in internet for 2 hours and trying various options like netsh reset, disable\enable, network discovery on, power saver change mode, tcip reset, ip config manual, metered download enable etc. nothing worked!

But then I thought to reinstall my WLAN driver. In my case, my lenovo laptop had drivers in the path D:\drivers\WLAN. I launched the setup and reinstalled and hurrah I am able to connect without any problem now!!!

Hi Rahid,

Thank you for posting here!

I would recommend you to follow these steps and check if it helps.

Does this issue occur while connecting it through a wired network?

Method 1

Run Network troubleshooter.

a. Press “windows Key + W”. from the start screen

b. Type “Troubleshooting” in the search box and hit enter.

c. Select “Network and Internet” option

d. First select “Internet connections” troubleshooter.

e. Follow the on-screen instructions.

f. Then select “Network Adapter” troubleshooter and then follow the on-screen instructions.

Method 2

I would suggest you to try the steps from the link given below:

Method 3:

Try resetting  TCP/IP.

Reset TCPIP and check  if it works.

Follow the steps

a) Boot to the desktop view.

b) Open command prompt, right click in the left corner when the Start window appear and select command prompt (admin).

c) At the command prompt, copy and paste (or type) the following command and then press ENTER:

Note: If you do not want to specify a directory path for the log file, use the following command:

I FOUND THE SLOUTION FOR LIMITED CONNECTION IN WINDOWS 8

FIRST OF ALL, I WANT TO SAY THAT I TRIED MANY SLOUTION WITH NO ADVANTAGES

SO LISITION TO THIS CARFULLY, IF YOU USE NETGER RUOTER  OR ANY ,TRY TO CHANGE SECURITY TYPE FROM ( WPA1- PERSONAL ) TO ( WPA2-PSK) AND THE INTERNET WILL WORK DIRECTLY.

(TO CHANGE SECURTY TYPE DOWNLOAD NETGER APP FROM EITHER APPLE STORE OR PLAY MARKET FOR FREE AND CONTROL YOUR ROUTER WITH NETGER)

THIS IS THE BEST SLOUTION I HAVE FOR WHO FACEING HOME WIFI PROBLEM

I have faced the same problem for 10 days. My hp Pavilion g6 2312ax loaded with windows 8 faced the same problem of "Limited access" whenever i ran a Torrent client. Searched tons of pages in web . tried many tips and solutions but None has worked for me. Then I have contacted HP Technician. Found the solution

Go to BIOS and keep the values to Defaults and save them.

As of now my internet is working perfect.
